Speaker Interview Line Up for Friday
Friday, Oct 10, 2008 at 05:58 AM
Okay, as I mentioned earlier - flex and flow, right?
But here we have our best guess at when speaker interviews will appear live here on CatalystBackstage.com.
8:30 AM - Tim Stevens from Granger
10:15 AM - Perry Noble & Tony Morgan from Newspring, and Steven Furtick from Elevation Church
Sometime during the day, we'll also have some drop-ins: the guys from ROOV, Catlayst, and I may just grab some people from the arena and bring them down. Who knows?
Leave some questions in the comments for the speakers if you'd like. I think that'd rock!
See you later,
Anne

Interview Questions For Noble / Morgan / & Furtick:
(1) What do you believe will be the toughest challenge today’s generation of ministry leaders (catalysts) will face over the next couple of years?
(2) With the rise of church planting, what are your thoughts regarding today’s generation of ministry leaders (catalysts) who are often torn between starting a new church vs. supporting an exisiting one?

What are the warning signs that you are losing your passion for lost people and what steps do you take to restore that passion?

Great questions from Milan above! I’d echo those before mine.
Here are a few others:
1. It seems that the preaching style of both Perry and Steven is very much rooted in saying what needs to be said versus saying what people want to hear. I think it seems some pastors fall into the trap of people pleasing, especially as the church grows and budgets / obligations grow - trying to appease all people (and the big givers). Would be curious to know how these guys handle that as their churches grow.
2. Outside of word of mouth (invite a friend) type outreach and creating really good relationships in the community that impact people… is there a “campaign” they have done that really helped pull new visitors in? I think I recall Furtick or Noble (maybe both or maybe neither, I can’t remember) gave $ to members and told them to go bless someone in the community with it. Stuff like that?
3. Finally…. I’m hearing reports that Craig G and Furtick were wearing the same t-shirt. True? If so, is there some new secret society that we need to know of? :)

What ONE thing do you want the church leaders here at Catalyst to take away from what you’ve said here, as in, if you could have one wish, what would you want them to mull over on the way home and put into action in their ministries?
